Itaca Technologies
Where we stand on AI

Most businesses never designed their technology architecture

We work with owners and directors on the infrastructure, cloud, security, and software the business depends on.

Technology problems compound

Spreadsheets, email approvals, shared passwords, and unowned systems create hidden risk. Audits or incidents expose it.

A monumental classical ruin beneath a cloudy sky

Make critical systems visible

We make the systems visible, name who owns each one, close the access nobody reviewed, and strengthen what the operation cannot lose.

  1. Understand the operation

We map how work enters the business, where information lives, who approves what, which tools are used, where access is managed, and which risks are already visible.

    Priority list

Compliance is a design input, not an afterthought.
We work inside frameworks such as PCI DSS, SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR, ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 42001, Florida data protection, and Trinidad & Tobago data protection, plus the cyber-insurance requirements clients bring.
We map the obligation early, then design, build, and document so the work holds up when checked. If you have a compliance officer or auditor, we adapt to their process.

A good fit

A business where technology, operations, and long-term consequences need to be understood together.

Not a fit

A business that only needs technology kept running. Tickets closed, licenses renewed, hands added, and nobody looking at the whole.

About AI

AI is leverage, and leverage only works on something stable.

AI can multiply what a team already does well. It can just as easily accelerate disorder by automating a bad process. Before recommending an AI tool or workflow, Itaca looks at what supports it: the process, the data, who has access, and who owns the outcome.

Why us

No commissions since 2011

We have never resold software or accepted vendor commissions. When we recommend a tool, the only client paying us is you.

Architecture before tools

We decide what should be built, bought, integrated, delayed, or avoided before any tool enters the conversation. Sequence changes cost, risk, and adoption.

Written for the people who decide

Maps, risks, roadmaps: every deliverable is written so owners and directors can make the call, not only IT.

You talk to the people who do the work

No handoff between the person who sells, the person who thinks, and the person who builds. The judgment you hire is the judgment you get.

We tell you when it’s not us

We publish who we are not a fit for, and we say it in the first conversation. That conversation is free, so a no costs neither side anything.

We stay after delivery

About Itaca

Itaca is a technology and engineering team working out of Florida and Port of Spain since 2011. Most of our clients are owners and directors who need someone to make a real technical call: what to change in infrastructure, cloud, security, identity, software, and integrations, and in what order.

The first conversation is with whoever at the firm has done this longest, not with a salesperson. We don't resell software or arrive with a tool already chosen: we start by understanding how the business works, then decide what the technology needs to do. We've never accepted vendor commissions.
