Cookies and tracking

After you choose, this site uses one essential cookie to remember your preference. If you accept analytics, Google Analytics sets two first-party cookies and measures how the site is used. If you reject analytics, the Google tag does not load and no data is sent to Google. The site works the same either way.

Cookies we use

The first cookie is strictly necessary and appears only after you make a choice. The two Google Analytics cookies appear only after you accept analytics. Google may change the technical names it uses; if that happens, we will update this table and the consent configuration together.

What analytics measures

If you accept analytics, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand:

It measuresIt does not receive from us
Page views, service views, job views, and sessionsThe contents of any form
Contact and application funnel steps: form started, lead generated, application started, and application submittedYour name, email address, phone number, message, or CV
Clicks on named calls to action, email or phone links, and outbound linksVisible link text, an email address, a phone number, or a link query string
The site you arrived from, approximate location, browser, and device typeA precise location or an IP address stored in Analytics
A client identifier and session state held in first-party cookiesAn Itaca account identifier or any identifier we create about you
Totals and trends about how the site is usedAdvertising, remarketing, or a profile used across unrelated websites

Your IP address reaches Google when the measurement is sent. Google uses it at collection time to select a regional data centre and derive approximate location, then discards it before the address is logged. We do not send a user ID or any form value to Analytics.

The events we send are page_view, view_service, view_job, form_start, generate_lead, application_start, application_submit, cta_click, and click for an outbound link. They use controlled labels such as page type, site language, service, public job reference, form type, and call-to-action name. We keep Google Signals, advertising personalisation, remarketing, and user-provided data collection disabled.

Google explains how it uses information from sites that use its services.

What loads from another domain

Cloudflare receives your IP address to run the bot check. This is the alternative to a CAPTCHA that we judged least invasive, and without it the forms would be filled by scripts within a week. If you would rather not use it, call +1 786 568 8890 or write to compliance@itacatech.com and we will take it from there.

The consent manager, fonts, images, styles, and the rest of the site's scripts are served from itacatech.com. Nothing loads from an advertising network, a social platform, or an external font service.

What we removed

We audited every request the site makes and cut what was not load-bearing:

  • hover screenshots on the compliance citations, which fired eight requests to an external API on every homepage load and, for both ISO links, showed a bot-check page instead of the standard
  • an embedded Google map on the contact page, now a self-hosted still built from OpenStreetMap, because the embed was already non-interactive
  • placeholder images still served from a third-party demo CDN, now self-hosted

None of that cost us a feature. All of it made the pages load faster. Google Analytics is the only optional third-party code that runs across the site, and it runs only after consent.

Browser controls

Cookie settings on this site are the most direct control. You can also clear or block cookies in Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge. Google also provides an Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Blocking or rejecting analytics will not break this site.

If this changes

If we add a new purpose, provider, or cookie, we will change this page and the consent configuration before it loads. A material change will invalidate the previous choice and ask again.
